What are lab-grown diamonds? Lab-grown or created diamonds are diamonds that are grown in laboratories. Lab-grown diamonds are physically, chemically, and visually identical to their mined equivalents, a true miracle of science and technology that gets constantly optimized. The only difference between a lab-grown and a mined diamond is the place of its origin. Natural diamonds are forged by heat and pressure deep in the earth’s mantle, while lab-grown ones are ‘engineered’ in similar conditions inside a latest-technology machine. Even the most proficient gemologists cannot distinguish them. Just like traditional diamonds, lab-created diamonds are graded by assessing the four C’s of diamond quality: Cut, Color, Carat, Clarity.
